The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA), Coimbatore organized Texfair 2010 – largest expo of textile machinery, spares, accessories and other supporting services during December 17-20, 2010 at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore.

At the inaugural function held on 17th December 2010, SIMA Chairman Shri J Thulasidharan welcomed the Chief Guest Shri T Kannan, Chairman, Textile Committee, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, Mumbai, Shri Pongalur N Palaniasamy, Hon’ble Minister of rural Industries and Animal Husbandary, Government of India, Chennai, Mrs. Nandini Rangaswamy, Chairperson of Confederation of Indian Industry, TamilNadu, Shri N Natarajan, President of Textile Machinery and Mill Stores Merchants Association (TMMSMA), Coimbatore, Shri Diven G Demble, Honorary Treasurer of Indian Textile Accessories and Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (ITAMMA), Mumbai and the Exhibitors to the inaugural function. Deputy Chairman Shri S Dinakaran briefed about Texfair 2010. Shri N Natarajan and Shri Diven G Demble offered felicitations. Vice-Chairman Shri T Rajkumar delivered vote of thanks.

At the Texfair expo machinery, spares manufacturers / suppliers and other supporting service providers from China, Switzerland, Germany, etc., apart from domestic players across the country catering to the various segments of the textile industry showcased their products and services. Texfair 2016 is Sixth edition in its series

The expos provided an opportunity for various clusters of the industry to know the latest improvements in technology and availability of domestic as well as import substitution spares. 180 exhibitors showcased their products and services in 210 stalls. The Expos attracted about 48,000 visitors.
